Privacy Policy

Rapid Pomodoro — Effective date: July 3, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Rapid Pomodoro ("the app", "we") handles your information. The app is developed and operated by PIYOLUNE (ピヨルネ), an individual developer in Japan (contact information below).

1. Summary

All of your timer data (dots, sets, settings, and selected background images) is stored only on your device. We do not collect it, and we cannot see it.
The app does not require an account and has no sign-in.
The free version shows banner ads served by Google AdMob. The AdMob SDK may collect certain device data to serve ads, as described below.
The premium upgrade (when available) is processed entirely by Google Play. We never receive your payment details.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit:

Your timers, dot/set configurations, or app settings (these stay on your device)
Background images you choose (the app only reads images you explicitly pick, and they never leave your device)
Your name, email address, contacts, precise location, or any account information
Analytics or usage statistics of our own (we do not use any analytics SDK)

Uninstalling the app, or clearing its storage in Android settings, permanently deletes all locally stored app data.

3. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The free version of the app displays banner ads provided by Google AdMob, an advertising service of Google LLC. To serve and measure ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect:

Advertising ID (a resettable device identifier)
IP address (which may imply coarse location)
Device information (model, OS version, screen size, mobile carrier)
Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks)
Diagnostic and performance data

This data is collected and processed by Google under its own policies:

You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time in your device settings: Settings → Google → Ads → "Delete advertising ID" or "Opt out of Ads Personalization" (wording varies by device). Where required by law, ads are served in accordance with applicable consent requirements.

Purchasing the premium upgrade removes all ads from the app, and the app stops loading the advertising SDK's ad requests.

4. In-App Purchases

The app offers a one-time premium purchase. Payment is handled entirely by Google Play Billing. We do not receive or store your credit card number or other payment credentials. Google provides us only with the information necessary to confirm the purchase (such as purchase state). Refunds are handled according to Google Play's refund policies.

5. App Permissions

The app requests the following permissions, used solely for the purposes described:

Notifications	Showing timer progress and completion in the notification area (the app's core feature)
Full-screen notifications	Showing the completion/alarm popup while the screen is off
Display over other apps	Showing the completion popup while you are using another app
Exact alarms	Firing alarms at the exact scheduled time
Ignore battery optimizations	Keeping long-running timers from being stopped in the background
Internet / network state	Loading banner ads (AdMob) only; no other network communication
Photo/image access (via system picker)	Setting a background image for the theme of a timer set. The app can access only the specific images you pick, and it keeps read access to them so it can continue displaying your chosen background after the app restarts. Images are never copied, uploaded, or shared — they are only displayed inside the app. Removing the background image (or deleting the set) stops its use

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell or share your personal information, except that ad-related data is collected directly by Google AdMob as described in Section 3.

7. Children

The app is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.

8. Security

Your app data never leaves your device, which is the strongest protection available. Ad-related data transmitted by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is protected by Google's security measures.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time (for example, when app features change). Material changes will be announced in the app or on this page, and the effective date above will be updated.
